Rebecca is passionate about working with interesting people doing amazing things for New Zealand – leaders championing positive change, organisations wanting to improve their value proposition, and collaboratives designing with a human centric lens for greater impact. She works with businesses on the cusp of change and transformation, assisting them to develop break-through strategies for growing their business. Her expertise is in social change, innovation, community and stakeholder engagement, cultural diversity, and breaking into new markets.
Rebecca leads The Change & Innovation Agency (CIA) which works across private and public sectors facilitating the development of social impact strategies and building capabilities. She works with leaders who are addressing complex problems by using new methodologies to disrupt the status quo and implementing approaches with them that enable scale and sustainability. Recent projects Rebecca has worked on include:
- Healthy Families NZ – a large scale initiative that brings together community leadership in a united effort for better health. Her role was to support leaders and teams with developing and accelerating collaborative efforts in innovation and social change
- Youth Connections – an Auckland Council initiative supported by the Tindall Foundation, dedicated to improving youth employment. Rebecca provided strategic change support to leaders and teams to generate momentum and implement solutions.
Prior to CIA, Rebecca worked in tertiary education. She was a senior manager of a growth and development portfolio specifically employed to create a radical change in the way the organisation engaged with its prospective students and key stakeholder groups. She also spent over a decade in the media industry forming ways for organisations to deliver positive brand experiences. Rebecca is industry trained in communications, sales and brand development. Knowing there is a compelling story and being effective in telling that story is fundamental when inspiring people to be the difference.
Rebecca has held numerous Board positions and is a Maori youth leadership mentor. Her Iwi affiliations are Ngati Porou, and Te Arawa.
